Review: Come Together: A European Anthology of Erotic Comics

Come Together is a collection of erotic comics from a stellar group of comics creators. Many will be familiar to comics readers, including Niki Smith and Hari Conner, but several were new to me and I'm happy to have read them. One of my favorite things about anthologies is the opportunity to be exposed to new creators and Come Together didn't disappoint.

The thirteen stories within are connected in a few ways, including the overall theme of reunion. Fans of second-chance romance will be particularly happy with this anthology, but a few of the stories are less second-chance and more coming back together after a trip. Like the cover, the comics within are heavy on shades of blue and often muted yellows. Art styles vary as expected and the stories themselves are diverse as well. Several include nonbinary or trans characters and they're set in historical, modern and one has a dash of the fantastical.

While there's much to recommend this book, it's not my favorite. What turns folks on is so highly subjective that I can't say "hey, you'll love this," but I really think a lot of you will! A few of the thirteen stories fell short for me, but at $1.00 a piece (digital), I think it's a great deal and, as with most anthologies, there will be some that work for you and some that don't.
