Do you remember when Amy reviewed Little Moments of Love? This book is like that. Instead of being a romance, it's composed of little snapshots from the life of these two individuals, represented as a croquette and an empanada. They're very cute and often funny, but this isn't really a romance.
This is a cute book that would make a correspondingly cute gift for a partner. Croquette and Empanada move in together, argue about cleaning and blankets, and generally do couple things. The book starts with croquette and empanada meeting, then quickly (same comic!) moves them in together. They progress through various challenges and banalities of cohabitation, like getting a pet, taking an overnight trip, bickering over messiness, and farting in bed.
There’s not really a plot, it’s just little slice-of-life snapshots illustrated in a whimsical manner. If that sounds like the sort of thing you’d like on your coffee table? Worth a look.
