FEUD has been on my TBR ever since Kaia Danielle recommended this book when we interviewed her, and after the last few weeks, I really needed a book to make me laugh.

Review: The Covert Captain

THE COVERT CAPTAIN is a Regency-set romance between Captain Fleming, a veteran of the Napoleonic Wars, and Lady Harriet Gresham, the sister of Fleming’s superior officer. They are thrown together after Fleming joins her superior officer at his house. And yes, the big secret about Captain Nathaniel Fleming is that she was born Eleanor Fleming, taking over her dead brother’s identity to escape her home. This is not a spoiler.

Line Review - Carina's "Dirty Bits"

When Carina announced their new Dirty Bits line, I was skeptical, to say the least. How would this line be different than their usual novellas? Were they simply rebranding erotic romance? Would it be full of problematic tropes and questionable HEAs?

MY LADY'S CHOOSING is a choose-your-own-adventure regency romance novel and, as someone who grew up reading the classic CYOA stories, I had a lot of fun with it. Before I get into the review - I rarely recommend a specific format, but I do think the experience would be better if I was reading it in paper rather than clumsily attempting to swipe to the correct page.

I’m not sure how to write a review that accurately describes how fun, romantic, and sexy this book is but I’ll give it the old college try. With every book of hers I read I’m falling deeper in love with Talia Hibbert’s writing and A Girl Like Her is a textbook example of why.

Review: Hurts to Love You, by Alisha Rai

This is a difficult review to write, because a lot of my 2017 reading emotions were tied up in this series. I've loved Alisha Rai's writing for a long time, but this series has had two heroines in therapy and a recurring refrain of "you deserve love" that's incredibly empowering and comforting to read. I could write a 10 page essay on this book, so how about I give you the highlights, instead?

I’m really bad at positive reviews because my mind wants to shower you in glitter and confetti and what words convey that? But I’m going to try anyway because I really liked A SCOT’S SURRENDER and good books should be shared.
