Jenny Holiday's ONE AND ONLY is one of those books that leaves you smiling at the end. It's full of elements that are delightful on their own, but combined make something full of hope and joy and laughter. And hot sex. That, too. Jane is a YA fantasy author who cosplays Xena at one point in the book. XENA. This line is what got me to pick up the book, but I stayed for a bunch of reasons.

Welcome to the February edition of thoughts too small for a full review! Quite the pitch, I know. We'll work on it. This month we have a m/m historical fiction with romantic elements, a contemporary m/f romance, and a sci-fi f/f novella.
Review: Cam Boy, by Quinn Anderson
[fa icon="calendar'] Feb 12, 2018 9:00:00 AM / by Suzanne posted in review
The plot summary for the book is so accurate that I don't think you need me to rehash that in a review. They have a meet-awful but are still drawn to each other, Josh decides porn isn't for him, takes up cam work for the same company instead. This is the bare bones plot of the book and, despite the porn industry setting, honestly the least interesting thing about it.
Review: The Last Wolf, by Maria Vale

Maria Vale's debut novel THE LAST WOLF is an immersive tale of identity, trust, and love. It's a fresh take on the werewolf subgenre, steeped in history and tragedy. It is also wildly funny, completely endearing, and stomach-churningly violent.

This is a difficult book to review, so I'm going to give a plot summary followed by two different takes on the book. Both takes are mine. Because, difficult book to review.
Review: A Scandal in Scandinavia by Kelly Maher

A SCANDAL IN SCANDINAVIA is such a sweet treat to end your January reading. It has everything! Action, a hot romance between an older woman and a slightly younger man, international intrigue, and a nerdy heroine at the center of it all. Though Maher wrote a terrific romance novel to continue her Capital Kisses series, you’ll find the little touches are what make you devour this book.

Manda Collins's third Studies in Scandal novel, Wallflower Most Wanted, pairs a painter heroine with the local vicar in a small-town cozy mystery regency romance mash-up.

Review: The Wedding Date, by Jasmine Guillory

THE WEDDING DATE is getting a lot of buzz this year, and I predict it'll be The Valentine's Day Book for 2018. And you know what? I think it's the perfect choice to fill that niche. It's a solid book and, while it may not be inventive or breathtakingly emotional, it's happy and welcoming and warm. If you need something happy to read in the grueling weeks of February, this may work for you.
