Dear wonderful reader,

Thanks for supporting Love in Panels, for reading our reviews and for talking about books with us! It's been a pretty fun three years.

It's also been a pretty stressful three years and as everyone keeps reminding me, "no one reads blogs anymore."

I decided early on that I wanted to have an actual website and not just a social presence because not everyone is on the same platform and because I wanted to build a searchable database for comics (and then for romance) to help readers find books they'd like to read without having to search through our Twitter feed.

We've become a diverse seven person team and I'm happy that we're invested in this flawed genre that we love. But the fact remains that blogging is a lot of work.

I've run my well dry.

To that end, Love in Panels will be on hiatus for the month of July while I figure out what I want to do. I know that I can't keep spending 20+ hours a week on this project, but I don't know what that means for the future.

I'll be giving the Twitter password to Margrethe, a great friend who will save me from myself, but I will likely still troll Instagram from time to time. (You can follow me there if you want!)

Reviews of any books that release in July will either be postponed until after July 31st or not published at all. If you are a publisher or author and were hoping for coverage, I'm sorry for not following through.

TL;DR - Running LiP isn't fun anymore and I'm taking July off in order to reassess and figure out if LiP will keep going and what that might look like.

Wishing you all the best,

Suzanne
